Exactly a month from my first trip to Pisang Waterfall which located somewhere near Karak highway in the region of Gombak, I went again.. this trip more focus on macro photography, with Kevin and Isaac. It's the best place to be.. getting away from big city life once awhile beside my favourite Sekinchan. Haha! Dip our feet inside cool running water is just nice early in the morning.. but after soaking for awhile, you might find leeches trying to stick on ur feet and leg. Haha!

Red dragonfly.. hardly to see them in "still" mode. Mmm.. I saw a photography book in Kinokuniya, the dragonfly capture with rainbow bokehs.. so beautiful as the sun shine through the morning dew that stuck the wings and bodies of the dragonfly. Wish tat and working hard.. one day I will take such beautiful photos.

Greenish bluish dragonfly

As I getting myself closer and closer to the dragonfly.. I notice that it is harder to focus as I manually focus for all my macro shoots. Even though the ring of the 90mm Tamron is easy to slide in and out, still struggling to focus if I want to get nearer. Weeks later, I read in the photography magazines that adding extension tube can help to longer the focal point thus no need to get closer to the insects which explain most of the photographers can shoot the eyes of the dragonflies or flies very sharp. Oh ya.. non-electrical extension tube will cost you around RM30.. haha! Yea! RM30 compare to original by manufacturer of the camera brand will be around RM2-3k but "electrically" connected.

A day in the woods is refreshing.. and good workout. Strange enough.. the woods in the Pisang waterfall is not humid neither too hot.. the air is cool all the time.

There are a lot of spots with water streaming through the rocks and roots.. it is a good place to have a tripod and practicing your slow shutter skills.

Lastly a black dragonfly camouflage the wood.. but still SPOTTED! Haha!
There are fewer photos posted compared to previos trip post as this trip more focus on macro instead of scenery.
I gotta tuck into bed as tomorrow is MONDAY!
Next blog update will be my belated trip to Bangkok few months ago.. eham.. many many months ago. =D

2011-10-30 Sunbathing @ Pulau Ketam 2.0
Let's continue from previous post, here's part 2.
2011-10-30 Sunbathing @ Pulau Ketam 1.0
Finally I have own internet line! Finally I can sit down and blog.. I have missed so many blog posts and aiming to catch up although work quite tight, tired and tedious. It is a been awhile that I went for photography with HW and TM. It is been a long time.. hmmp.. that I went for a street photography too. Have been hungering for that to release the stress.. the salty smell of sea calm me.. and photography pump energy into my soul! double "geng"ness to counter Monday's blues. Haha!
It is been more than a year since I went to Pulau Ketam, been wanted to go so much since stay quite near Klang for now. The previous visit was in March last year, 2010-03-28 A re-visit to Pulau Ketam, and in year 2009, Part 1, Part 2 and Part 3. For this trip, I used only 50mm just like my second trip but with additional of a film camera and my Holga. Didn't capture much using Holga but more on film camera as I try to finish the roll of black and white film. 36frame le.. not so easy to finish it.. I got more than 20 shots. Haha! I will post up as soon as I finish the roll of film and got it scan. =)

The smell of ikan bilis greet us as we reach the Pulau Ketam jetty

Presume.. Assume.. that alcohol is cheap here as we easily spot crates of empty beer bottles

After so many rounds of photography in Pulau Ketam, I try a different and artistic approach..

There is always no. 2.. without no. 2, there will be no no. 1.

Reflection of the cyclist

A Penang motorplate.. didn't surprise me as majority is Hokkien speaking community settling in Pulau Ketam. The only portrait photo in this Pulau Ketam post part 1 and part 2. =)

The sky is so blue.. it remind me of Monday. Haha! ok ok. No more lame joke. The sun is scorching hot that I got sunburn again after a week from the Putrajaya dragonboat competition. Haha!

Want to dunk?

The wiring so crazy here... everything just connect to the pole.

Bokehlicious!

My favourite photo from this trip.. another different approach to compose the bicycle.

LOVE is missing.. that's most of everyone is missing in this world

A young "racer" dashing to avoid my camera.

I end this post, Part 1 with this photo. "Riding a bicycle but dreaming riding a motorbike"
Gotta tuck myself to bed and really hope that all of you enjoy the photos. =)
Goodnight.
